A combined club cruise to Julatten, called Paddy`s Memorial Cruise, run by the A.A.C.C. incorporating a poker run,& best Irish costume, which Tanya won.

A good turn out of members for our Christmas Party at the Bungalow Hotel. Food was eaten, games were played, jokes were told & awards given & everyone had a good time. Congratulations to Chris Batch for winning the new trophy for the most active member, this is now a perpetual trophy so who will win it next year? Also congrats to Col Mc Gahan who was presented with the 20 year membership plaque.

Cairns First Inter Car Club Go-Kart Challenge was a great success. Will from the Fat Bastards Car Club taking home the Trophy for the fastest time of the day. The Fat Bastards also won the best combined time of the day. Congratulations to them. Special thanks to TEX from the Historic Car Club for the amazing trophy’s, and thanks to George for the cooking and the tool comp.
September meeting started with a poker run leaving from Maccas G/Vale winding through the local area and ending up at the Mountain View Hotel. Colin Chapman (ASRF Director) and wife Brenda were up from Brisbane to bring us up to date with ASRF business. Barry presented them with club shirts and a club plaque. Congratulations to Mark and Liz who won the poker run. That was then followed up with lunch. A good day had by all !
