Cairns Customs open day and AACCC Power Poker Run

Quite a few members had a busy weekend and attended the open day at Nelson St on Saturday and the monthly meeting and Poker Run to Innisfail on Sunday. We were lucky to get fine weather on both days and a bonus on Sunday for some members was a visit to Phils to check out his almost completed new rod. Thanks Phil.

Two of our members won best dressed awards on the Poker Run, Julian for the men and Eve for the women.

AGM & Meerawa Club House Open Day Feb. 2019

What a great AGM and well attended, I would like to congratulate the newly elected members of the committee and thank all the members who attended. Our open day went down well with the other car clubs etc. A great rolI up of cars, some I haven’t seen before.  A special thanks to Eve and her crew in the kitchen and the Gerard and the boys down stairs on the Barbecue, well done everyone

Thanks also to the Cairns Regional Council for making the club house available.

Meerawa Club House

Thanks to the Cairns Regional Council the club has obtained the exclusive use of the Meerawa Community Hall for club purposes initially for a period of 12 months with review at the end of the term with a view to further extensions. The hall is situated 10klms south of Gordonvale just off the highway. It is an old high set school building on approx 3 acres. These pics are from the December 2018 meeting which was held there.

2018 Innisfail Show display

The club in conjunction with the Northern Motoring Club put on a display at the show on 12th and 13th of July. Those that participated had a great time and the show patrons appreciated the display. Thanks to the Show Society for the invite and for providing a safe and secure area for the the display, the best security I have seen provided at this type of event.  Also good to see the two cars from the area under construction which gave the public an understanding the work put into the construction of the cars.

4th July 2018

AUTO BARN 2018 CAR DISPLAY
